Our volunteers having a well deserved break at the Sydney CVI 2013
Lindsey Collett, a reqular volunteer at all vaulting events
There is a great deal of satisfaction that comes from making a difference to people in your local community.
Often, people don't realise some of the small ways they can help, which won't take up too much time, but will have a huge impact on reducing the workload for our "Career volunteers", plus offering you the opportunity tollearn new skills and gain valuable experience in a wide range of areas that may or may not be related to your paid work.
"Don't know enough about horses to be of any help" ...Not true..There are many jobs throughout the sport of vaulting, as long as you are willing to help, we have a role for you.
It's also a great way to meet new people who share your equine interests.
We need:
-
People who are prepared to pencil ( write for judges) at events
-
People who are prepared to become gear stewarts, marshals and runners ( collecting papers from the judges)
-
People who can assist with hospitality at our reqular evets( making sure our volunteers and juges are being looked after)
-
People who have computer skills and can assist with scoring
-
People who can help with the preparation and running of major events
-
People who know people/businesses who may be prepared to help with fundraising and getting sponsors for major events.
What's in it for me?
-
A great way to learn and develop new skills
-
Keep active
-
A great way to broaden your socail set and meet new people
-
HAVE FUN!! You will be working alongside like-minded, energetic people, who all share your passion about the sport
